Cancer Full Moon happens twice in 2020

Hello, it’s Keiko.

I imagine your consciousness must be gradually starting to change as we approach the beginning of the Air Era in December. However, in order to make a smooth transition to the Air Era there is an astronomical event which you should pay attention to.

It’s the double New Moon in Cancer event which takes place on June 21st and July 21st.  In fact, Cancer is the sign which holds the keys of 2020.

In today’s post I will tell you why Cancer is attracting so much attention in 2020, and what the meaning of the double New Moon in Cancer is.

Cancer has been in focus since the first day of the universal New Year Cancer

On a universal level, the beginning of a New Year is referred to as “the first day of the Universal New Year”.  On our calendar it falls on the first day of Spring.  On this day, the sun enters Aries (the first of the 12 Zodiac Signs) and a New Year begins.  But what I want you to pay attention to is what’s known as Ascendant.

Ascendant is the entrance to fortune and chance and in essence all fortune enters from here.  So by knowing in which sign ascendant is in, and which planets are nearby we can figure out what we need to shift our attention to.

In 2020 Ascendant is in the 28th degree of Cancer. Simply put, chance will enter our lives if we are conscious of Cancer in our daily life and if we are aware of what Cancer is showing us.

In an earlier editorial article I wrote that 2020 would be the year of Interpersonal Male Female Relationships, and Partnership, but what Cancer shows us is family and friends who are like part of the family.

The key point was the importance of building a good relationship with family and close friends who are like family.

Strangely enough,  from just before the first day of the Universal New Year, stay home policies came into effect and since then time spent with family has increased remarkably, and we have all started to reaffirm the importance of family ties and our relationships with close friends.

What does the double New Moon in Cancer signify?

From here on I will explain what the double New Moon in Cancer signifies.

June 21st Cancer New Moon (Annular Solar Eclipse)

The first New Moon in Cancer takes place on June 21st.  This is the summer solstice.  The summer solstice is when the sun enters into Cancer.  Within a few hours the New Moon occurs at zero degrees in Cancer.  And what’s more, the New Moon in Cancer is also an annular solar eclipse.

Cancer is the home field of the Moon, so the energy of the moon is really building up.

With these three events:

  • the sun entering Cancer on the summer solstice

  • the New Moon occurring at zero degrees in Cancer

  • the annular solar eclipse increasing the power of the New Moon and Full Moon beyond normal.

all taking place at the same time, the power of the Moon on this day is immeasurable!

Just from reading this I think you can probably grasp that the universe is backing up Cancer, but what this New Moon signifies is “a change from the subconscious”.

The reason is that the New Moon on June 21st occurs in the eighth house, which signifies the subconscious.  Solar and lunar eclipses are known to reverse our consciousness and our perception of things and consequently they have the power to reform.  When you receive that energy from the Moon it has the potential to bring about personal and even life changing positive change.

Cancer controls household affairs, family, and motherhood, so it is a great time for women in particular to get a fresh start at creating a brand new you, and to allow a new femininity and charm to come alive.

For example, it’s a good time to figure out what you really want to do in life, what your talents and natural gifts are, and what you are looking for in life.
