I imagine your consciousness must be gradually starting to change as we approach the beginning of the Air Era in December.

However, in order to make a smooth transition to the Air Era there is an astronomical event which I think you should pay close attention to.

It’s the double New Moon in Cancer which takes place on June 21st and July 21st. In fact, Cancer is the sign which holds the keys of 2020.

In today’s post I will tell you why Cancer is attracting so much attention in 2020, and what the meaning of the Double New Moon in Cancer is.

On a Universal level, the beginning of a New Year is referred to as the first day of the Astrological New Year. On our calendar it falls on the first day of Spring. It’s on this day that the sun enters Aries (the first of the twelve zodiac signs) and a new Astrological Year begins. But what I want you to pay attention to is what’s known as “Ascendant”.

Ascendant is also known as “the gateway to fortune and opportunities” and subsequently all fortune enters our lives from here. By knowing in which sign Ascendant is in, and which planets are located nearby, we are able to figure out exactly what we should be shifting our attention to.

June 21st New Moon in Cancer (Annular Solar Eclipse)

The first New Moon in Cancer takes place on June 21st, which also happens to be the summer solstice. The summer solstice is when the Sun enters into Cancer, and within a few hours of this event the New Moon occurs at zero degrees in Cancer. And what’s more, the New Moon in Cancer is also an annular solar eclipse!

Cancer is the home base of the Moon, so the Moon’s energy is really starting to build up.

With the following three events all taking place on the same day, it can’t be denied that the power of the Moon on this day is immeasurable!

Solar and lunar eclipses are known to reverse our consciousness and the way we perceive things. Thus eclipses possess the power to reform. When you receive this energy it has the potential to bring about personal and even life-changing positive change.

Cancer governs household affairs, family, and motherhood, so for women in particular this is a great opportunity to allow new femininity and charm to awaken and to allow for the rebirth of a brand new self.

It’s also a great time to try to figure out what you really want to do in life, what your talents and natural gifts are, and what you are looking for in life.

However at this point the extent of change is still in its infant stage, where you begin to recognize signs that change is near. More concrete change and concrete actions won’t start taking place until around the time of the second New Moon in Cancer on July 21st.

The second New Moon in Cancer will take place on July 21st, exactly one month after the first one. On this day the New Moon will occur in the 28th degree of Cancer.

The 28th degree of Cancer is precisely the same location as Ascendant on the first day of the Astronomical New Year. You can see that we are being reminded of what was being shown to us on the first day of the Astrological New Year; that fortune and opportunities will enter via Cancer, and the importance of relationships with family and close friends.

It should also be noted that the New Moon on this day is taking place in the Second House, which signifies income and your innate character. Because Cancer inherently controls family and personal life, it’s not easily connected with income, but because people have been working from home via telework and remote work, this second New Moon in Cancer will offer us a good opportunity to think about how we earn income.
